    That's easy.
    Buyer thinks it's a DDO.
    Also thinks it's a tremendous bargain.

    Obviously the buyer didn't think it through.
    The seller knows there's doubling; he says so and emphasizes it with images.
    If the seller knows that much, then it follows that he knows it's not a DDO.
    That's bourne out by the starting bid.

    Buyer only knew half as much.
    He knew it was doubling; he didn't know it wasn't a DDO.

    When the buyer discovers his error, it will be obvious to him that the seller ripped him off (no way will the buyer believe it's his own fault.)

    This is a better example of mechanical doubling than the OP's.
