1916 Buffalo Nickel 2 Feathers Cherrypick

    $30 Cherry-pick from APMEX off eBay. Looks AU with attractive color. Reverse scratches are much finer to the naked eye than they appear in the pics.

    Nice looking coin. I don't know why, but my eye is drawn to the buffalo's horn. Looks unnatural, like maybe it was tooled? Just my observation. Also, closer to a XF than AU. Too much wear on the high points, IMHO.

    The two feather variety is when the dies have been polished until details are removed. The smaller, third feather, is one of those items and the front leg on some buffalo nickels are also because of that.
