dak, Based on your editing of the picture of the coin's Obverse, I may have been a little overzealous in my original assessment of it's condition! However, (IMHO) I really don't think that the coin would grade at VF-30as you believe due to the condition of the Reverse. Based on your edited picture and my own copying, pasting and editing of the picture, the coin will probably net grade in the EF range but definitely not VF-30:rolling: as you stated! Although Lore had only asked for an opinion on the grade of the coin only, why is it that you deem it necessary to comment on the eBay Auction and Fraud and make the very uncalled for and unnecessary comments that you made and that are noted below? Such comments are totally out of line for Coin Talk and I am sure that the Moderators will not see them in good light! Lore, Thanks for defending my posting! Also, I hope that you will shrug off such snide comments from dak and come back anytime you need help! Frank
I had originally flagged this auction as possible fraud in another part of this forum, and Lore, found it or was tipped off about the conversation we had about his coin and his auction. Like I said I hope I am wrong, but there are to many Warning signals and red flags that pop up about Lore and his coin. I feel it my duty to offer my opinion when I see unjustice, fraud, or indiffernce on important matters. Just remember, that is all it is... an opinion... Frank would you feel comfortable entering into a binding Ebay transaction with Lore and do you feel 100% confident that this auction is 100% fraud free? Frank, I did give the coin a second look and as you can see above I modified my opinion slightly of the coin itself a little and stated that it could be XF... Good day to ya all, and sorry to step on toes, but sometimes the truth hurts and I won't be silent when I feel there is a need to speak up a defend and protect fellow collectors against the WORST enemy of collecting which is fraud... It is what gives Coin collecting a bad reputation, and it creates distrust among potential new comers to the hobby... Which in turn hurts the overall coin market, because as simple economics dictates, its all about supply and demand. Anyway, getting to political now... Lore I do wish you well, I would advise you to stick with ebay, build your reputation a bit more before trying to unload big ticket items. you will do better and this is about profit am I wrong?? You should be seeking to get top dollar for your collectables and to do that requires building trust, and you do that through a reputation of good sales, and when it comes to big ticket items, get them authenticated, If authenticated and listed by a reputable dealer or put on auction through heritige, could realize $20,000 or more for this same item. I do see your 2 negitive feedback have been withdrawn, and that is a good sign that you worked it out with your past sale... I give you kudo's for that and I wish you well, even though I myself am not entirely convinced. DAK
Hi Well Dak i have saw you see my feedback is %100 right now . and thanks for your comments, i already have some offers around 18K, i think is Fair for this Nice coin. They have meet the coin at Person. Lets see what happen in the next 5 Hours. Regards, Lore
i agree bqcoins ... my head is spinning, and my 'spidey' sense is buzzing ... we shall see ... maybe someone should invite the buyer to cointalk so they can tell us about the coin once they get it....
Hello Hi NICK66: And when you see Item Location says: Atlanta Georgia . Lets see, 2 persons till now i have see the coin in person. Wish me Luck !.
lol 2 persons till now HAVE SEEN the coin in person. Thanks for the correction NICK66. Nick66, are you Collector ?. lets talk a bit.
Although Lore apparently resides in Peru, I think that he has consigned the coin to someone in Atlanta, Georgia to sell it! If I had that kind of money to spend on coins and was interested in purchasing it, then I would drive to Atlanta to see the coin in person. I only live about 180 miles from Atlanta and I would want to see the coin in person before purchasing it but would probably do the same even if it was certified and graded. Frank
Hello Frank Yes i reside at Peru for now. i have things to care about here. my family resides at Atlanta thats why i send it to my %100 Security Box Uncle to keep it. I have an American Number here at Peru , im suscribed at www.vonage.com so if someone is interest it for call ? ... im here. I can give any information about my DDO. I can give a Open line. Regards, Lorenzo
