I found this roll searching (my only barber I've ever found). It appears to be a 1914 (p) but a little suspicious in the area of the mint mark. It doesn't look tampered with in hand, but I submit to you for your opinions. You can read the LI and the TY of Liberty on the obverse, so I think this is a VG8. Your opinions please.
VG-8. The mint mark area does look a little fishy. I can't tell from the photos whether it's a removed mint mark or not. You should have an expert check it out since the price difference is significant betw the 14 P and the 14 S. Either way, nice find!
In my opinion, Liberty must be nearly complete to be in Fine condition of F-12 or better, worn okay but LIB doesn't cut it for a F-12 grade. Since the L is the only complete letter according to the pics, with the I partially missing on the bottom, I'd say it's close to VG-8, might be a step lower. Definitely between G to VG though. I definitely wouldn't give it anything higher than VG-8 though.
