1914 Indian head nickle DDR??

  1. I have a 1914 Indian head nickle is the line around the face and nose a DDR? I could not find any info about a 1914 have any errors?

    No! Machine doubling is a very common mistake caused by the vibration of a loose die.

    Notice how the lesser image has a very flattened appearance due to the machine/die movement. A true doubled die obverse ( DDO) would have the second image higher higher, usually close to the same height. If you are interested, there are several good sources on the net with examples.
