I am not sure it is a D and Not starting any type fight !!!! I copied the photo & from blowing it up 10X it maybe an S? *that my 2 cent :kewl:
Thank You! I'm so glad, it's not a KEY DATE! I was getting worried that I was going to get LENCHED on this post. You all take care in COINTALK! I have left the Building. I shall never return, and share exciding stories of my finds elsewhere. Love You All! 213sarah
I was thinking the same thing, that it looked like a 14s. A 14s is still a key though, last time I looked. Reminds me of a gorgeous, (maybe not to US collectors) hard glossy green patina a friend dug up. It was a 1909s cent in au, like I said gorgeous green, that unfortunately someone years ago tried to put a hole in the top. Now that failed hole was corroded. It makes you sad to see better coins like that, but it happens.
' I believe you found it where you said that you did! I would be a little less ready to believe it was a D if it were mine. More likely an S, but the condition leaves the question unanswered.
It comes with the territory when you come on here and make up stories, then later admit you lied. It makes it hard to trust you. Are we supposed to be upset that we won't hear your "exciting stories" in the future? That is why you posted that isn't it? If you want to leave, just leave, don't post a "poor me" post to try to generate simpathy. If you want to stay, do so, but be upfront instead of posting questions like should I dump a key date coin or your made up other thread....
Again I 100% agree with Merc. The way I know not a single one of these coins are yours is because every one of them is pictured in a drastically different environment. Anyone who is showing totally different environments throws up red flags for me. I've seen it more then once.
