1914 Barber quarter a fake?

    Yeah that scratch does take it down a notch. I wasn't really looking at the scratch. I like buying Barbers in this condition minus the scratch. I'm kind of sucker for nice VG and fine Barber quarters. Just wanted to see if I was overspending. The dealer I usually buy from would probably charge at least $10.00 for a coin like this. I did get a 1904 in similar condition (without the scratch) but with just about full liberty visible for $20.00. Got him down from $25.00 Hope I'm in the right ballpark.

    A 1904 in F is probably about $15-16 so you're not doing too bad. Besides F and better coins in the barber series seem to be drying up as of late unless you want MS+ stuff, which I normally cannot afford.
