It's simple pareidolia, sir, and is something particularly prevalent among those newer to the hobby. Human nature is to desire something for nothing, and also helps explain why this person sees 1913 as opposed to another date that would be worthless in this condition. Not a troll; just a person.

Once you verify that it's not a real 1913, use it as a 105 year old pocket piece - a year from now it should have some nice 'pocket patina' ;)

Only five survived - the rest are being recovered by metal detectorists :angelic:

It cracks me up that for some reason people are always so optimistic about coins when they are the exact opposite about anything else requiring way less luck. Like if someone gets a call that they won a free shirt from a raffle they entered they'll be like "yeah, okay nice try I'm not that lucky", but when it comes to finding a 1 in a multiple million coin in their change (or 1 in infinity in this instance) the same person is always like "this is DEFINITELY it I won't listen to anyone telling me otherwise!".

As in Nibiru, yes, but if used in the classic sense as hypothesized planets beyond Neptune, perhaps not...

If memory serves me, this addresses the issue quite well.....

And yes, I realize this wasn't your point, but is nonetheless interesting. :)
