Found this in a pile of "junk" dimes. I was thinking about selling it and would like a ball park to shoot for. The s is pretty worn, but visible with the naked eye. Thanks in advance!
Sorry, but I'm afraid you're seeing a ghost. On a dime in that condition, a mintmark would be much more distinct.
Well, I checked out some pics online and I have to say I agree with you. I read a comment earlier where someone alluded to these "ghost s" coins. I probably should have checked first, but I assumed a coin that small with that much wear would be hard to distinguish. I also noticed the S was much larger than i thought it would be. Thank you for the info, I appreciate it.
