Not a proof for sure. Just a well circulated coin that was cleaned up a bit.

I looked at the obverse, see no date, then go on the back and see the buffalo on a line. so.... OP... How do you know its a '13?

Yes, I was being sarcastic. I don't see it either. I was hoping your young eyes could.

Do you know of Poe's law? Fits our situation perfectly:

"Without a winking smiley or other blatant display of humor, it is utterly impossible to parody a Creationist in such a way that someone won't mistake for the genuine article."

But, I have to shorten it to fit better.

Ugh. This reminds me of one of my coworkers... who, even worse, flirts with me on the daily.

In what world would anybody believe that the coin might have been a circulated proof? It is heavily worn and almost dateless. If you took a proof 1968S nickel and wore it down to that level... how could you tell unless one tiny spot remained in original condition (and how could that happen?)? I guess you could grade this buffalo nickel AU58 borderline UNC and sell it on eBay, who likely wouldn't remove the listing because grading is subjective :)
