    Hi,

What do you all think of this 1913 Buffalo? It's got some patina, discoloration, or whatever the appropriate term is, but it seems to still have a lot of detail. I'm curious as to how it would grade and what you all think it's worth.

    I’d give it a full XF 40.

No expert, but looks XF 40 to me.

I find the background and color very distracting. I would like to see the coin on a neutral background, with better lighting, and cropped so just the coin shows. Based on your photographs, it was a very strong strike and I'd push it into the AU grade, but would need better photos before committing to it.

Agreed. She's a nice original example of the Type 1.

Updated photos attached. I don’t have a really good lighting system, meaning I don’t have one at all. Used a headlamp for these, but hopefully they’re better for assessment than the previous.. P1016324.JPG IMG_6784.JPG

Very distracting background. Solid black or white would complement the coin better.

Nice strong strike. I like it. I'm thinking it could go 45.

I'd say XF. Not sure on the value though.

It's XF and worth about $15 wholesale.
