I have two 1913 "F" Buffalo Indian Head Nickels, and I'm new to this and do not know if they are type 1 or 2, or anything about them for that matter. Please help me out?.
The MM is on the back Under Five cents. Please start a thread with Full size pics, Welcome to Ct @Rev
So, without further ado! The Type, or Variety is a given to a seasoned Collector and Dealer, So I would like to say well done, and In Hand I agree with Au 50 on the Anacs slab. It might be a weak strike, but there is still some lustre in the recessed areas. The Type 1 I just couldn't pass up. I would have loved to have one of the 66 he had.
Two sweet buffalo's...... nickels There's nothing like a nice buffalo nickel.....I can't wait to see what the toned one I posted will grade. Any guesses ?
You going w Anacs or Pcgs Paddy? I like it @ 65 but im not qualified in nickels enough to make the call on originality of the skin. I would defer to your expertise and the fact that u purchased it & say it will probably pass muster
I have some Anacs certificate so going to use them up. I'm at 65 on this one also.....it's funny that I tend to grade my coins on a lower curve, and others on a higher one. As for the skin and color I believe that it will pass......but no matter I like it.....
@Paddy54 It is hard to see how the Blue fades into the Fire Orange. Slab or not, it would be hard to resist!
Ok. Is this turning into a favorite of your heard thread? These are two of my favorites from 1913 And this one was the star of a controversial thread.
