I recently bought a bag of "little" coins. Most of them were love coins, you know, the ones ruin in the back with someone's name engraved. However, in this bag, there were a few old coins in good to extra-fine condition. Among them was this 1912-S Barber Dime. Once I checked it under the microscope I found what appears to have in front of her lips die chips, very little die chips. As anyone seen this before? Thanks in advanced!
Interesting. Never seen this on a coin of this type before. But don't poo poo love tokens/coins as some can be very valuable to the right people.
Looks like they might be die chips, unless the metal has been 'pushed' around...hard to tell from the photos; I see some surface marks in the right obv. field (first photo on the left in the post)
Mee too. Absolutely, I am not taking any chances, the coin looked very interesting. I will search a little further and find out what is going on with this coins Thanks!
Thanks... Let me get a better photo with a different background, hopefully, it will show more clear details.
