Howdy all!! Wanted to share this lincoln cent with ya. I picked it up on a YouTube auction for a song. It has an interesting look with a very square rim. Im not getting my hopes up but this thing well ill let you guys decide. View attachment 905178 1910 on bottom. Please comment. Thanks for looking
It's a very nice looking coin. Compare it to the PCGS site and wait for the opinion of more experienced members. https://www.pcgs.com/auctionprices/item/1910-1c-rb/3308/-1041255376137872
I'd close, but no cigar. The rims are not there for a Matte Proof. Here is 1909 Lincoln in Matte Proof.
Here are some reverse diagnostics to look for. Two die scratches inside the C of CENT - one diagonal in the center and one vertical on the inside left. A long die scratch from the M in UNUM towards the E in ONE Parallel die scratches inside the U of UNUM also between the N and U A die scratch from the S in PLURIBUS traveling under the U. Both loops of the S in PLURIBUS are filled with extra metal. Die scratches between the I and B of PLURIBUS Not many Obverse diagnostics. Check for die scratches or gouges around the WE area. Keep in mind that the diagnostics have to match exactly, not just close or similar.
