    Hi guys,

I noticed on this 1910 Lincoln Wheat penny that the "I" is missing in the word Liberty. Is this due to an Overworn die? And is this common on Wheat Cents?

    Nice looking Cent!

It could be a debris filled die. Just a bit that didn't allow for the letter I to form properly.

The "I" is not missing -

It's there, just a bit weakly struck.

    Not an error, imo.

I agree. Either a little weakly struck or debris filled. In any case, it is a nice 1910 cent with some lovely details. I love the "woodgrain" pattern on the obverse.

In the event I haven't already welcomed you to CT, Welcome, and thank you for posting FULL IMAGE photos. It is refreshing when a newbie does this so we can view the photos enlarged. My vote is for simple wear on the I. How? Took a hit? Who knows, but it happens.
