And all the cent collectors are now digging out all the VDBs they own. It's really cool for someone to actually find one of these.
Comments after reading this thread completely...just saying... Disagreeing with something does not make a person a "hater." The way they do it (I should know ) may qualify them as snarky and full of themselves. I think we all wish to know where you came up with this statement. Mint archives, ignorant, wacko, uninformed numismatist? I believe it is generally accepted that after a certain date (including 1909) all proof coins were struck twice. AFAIK, we are not posting about the early eighteenth century issues. GET A LIFE! Wasting the mods time with this sort of stuff should earn YOU some points! Still? Double deduction. I hate being wrong when I rally sure of something. Egg is sticky. Now, when I'm so sure of something, I try to leave myself an "out" just in case. Oh, and I always apologize for being a snarky poster; but only after I'm proved wrong. I do not think PCGS would miss a coin like this; nevertheless, two opinions from a qualified source cannot hurt. From what I read here, you've inferred that @Cascade is a liar. That's no way to keep friends. If the answers to this thread ever come out...
I'll come down to the third-grade level with the best of them! Am I drinking? No, just offended. BTW, it takes a hater to know one. Report this post too.
I have never reported your post. I have said what I had to say straight to you. I once sent a PM to you asking you to stop insulting the folks here or I would start reporting your post. Actually I told you to get the hell out if you could not be friendly. You created a thread and quoted my PM. That shows a real lack of class. I won't ever send you a PM again. You offer nothing to this forum except insults to other members. That's all you contribute. You say you will add something of substance but that never happens. You never add anything of value, just more insults. I know who you are and I know that folks here can learn from you. Why not do that? If you want everyone on all the forums to know who you are and what you do, I can make that happen for you. I have never done such a thing but I'm ready now. I'll drop down to your class if you wish. It's time for everyone here to start reporting every insulting post you make.
I guess I will have to come down to first grade level~ Stop this hissy fit bickering, it is very unbecoming no matter how great a person is in their mind!. Present EVIDENCE, there is too much "because I say so" in the posts above. If you can't discuss it without insults, be ready for a time off. Is that at a level everyone understands? This is addressed to several in this thread, not just one. Thanks Jim.
It is amazing that people post ( removed) without bothering to read posts made in between their their last post and the end before starting another repetitive harassing post to continue this harangue. Continue at your own risk. Even saying, I didn't see the warning, means you saw it before posting but continued. Jim
Many of you have been here at least a while, so remember that after you have posted something, there is a short time allowed by software for you to click edit and edit your own post. You should put a period, or something like 'removed by poster' or such for it to work as an editor, an empty page doesn't work. You can not delete the whole post as such. If the post is not fixed, it will be considered a post the poster wanted to have everyone read as is, and if not allowed, action will be taken. Jim
CASE COMPLETELY CLOSED. It has the coin facts picture I found RIGHT ON THE ARTICLE!! LOL! It even says, "Images courtesy of PCGS CoinFacts" right below the picture that I originally cited! There are 2 different images there. The first one shows the obverse from CoinFacts. There are 2 little buttons below the picture. If you hit the one to the right, it shows the actual CoinFacts image obverse and reverse. It is the exact picture we've been comparing to the uncertified coin pictures on this and the site over at Collector's Universe.
Well. Long Beach was fun but busy, wet, and well looong. I didn't know the article was going to be published online so soon. That's some good detective work finding the Coinfacts plate pic deefree! You really do love these things don't you. I'd say, 'without further ado' but in my absence it has been already been revealed. Here he is with a bunch of his equally cool friends in the Stacks case
Now, let's give him more than 15 minutes before we demand a response. After all, he might be in the loo, in which case I hope he'll wait and post later.
