The only sure fire way to keep it Red is by putting it in an environment with no oxygen. I vote you ask Elon Musk if you can send it into space.
I'd totally agree here...I've been watching a few of my red cents turning in the slabs and would expect that at some time in the distant future they will be more brown than red. Indian cents and large cents are the proof in the pudding, but each coin will react different from others depending on it's prior handling and environment. I just don't worry about it anymore. I do think, however, that the present storage environment is also very key to preservation of coins.
Thank you everyone for your sound advice. Some of the coins that I have inherited hold an extra ''premium'' to me regardless of what they are or what they are worth. I hope my future family generations will feel the same way. Blessings to all.
