    That's exactly what I was going to say. This is a ripoff.

    ice Just happy to be here

    He has sold like 20 of these rolls in the last month. Funny that his dad managed to get all the VDB's on the outside of the rolls. Ice

    I find that kind of hard to believe since all the dies were made in Philadelphia and there were multiple reverse dies for both mints. All of the reverse dies should have come from the same master hub so the placement of the periods should be the same on all the dies.

    I have 4 certified 09- VDB's and the dot is immediately after the "D on all 4. Plus. I have looked at several others and they are all in the same position. One of the authenticators for an 09-S VDB is the position of that dot and it is not immediately after the "D".

    I still found it hard to believe so I went to Heritage and looked at about a dozen or so of each type.

    I don't understand it but you are right. MOST 1909 VDB's have the dot close to the D and the 1909 SVDB has the dot centered between the D and B. I did notice one other interesting thing though. All of the 1909 VDB's from Philadelphia that had the dot centered between the D and B.......were PROOFS. All the business strikes have the dot close to the D, all the proofs have it centered. (A new diagnostic for 1909 VDB proofs?) I wonder if they struck the 09 VDB proofs early and then shipped the rev dies to San Francisco. Then made the Philadelpha VDB business strike dies from a new Master Hub.

    I almost got sucked into that food coin on "end roll" scam.

    There is one seller in particular that alway has 40 - 50 rolls with, "might be" rare coins.

    He listed some with 1916, D? on end. I looked further down his feedback and see where he bought several 1916 P dimes.
    He knowa that what are in those rolls. i cant believe he can get away with it!

    It is against eBay rules, but i have not been able to get them to do anything. Try reporting it. Maybe they will pay attention to multiples in stead of just me. And you need to report it as a specific violation;

    Therefore, the "1909 VDB S-?" is a violation (pick one).
