1909 Lincolns

    20200906_163920.jpg 20200906_163853.jpg 20200906_181231.jpg Now I'm on a mission to put together a PCGS set of 1909 Lincolns...I just bought this 1909 VDB today....I just have the 1909, 1909 S and the 1909 S/S to go yet..then I have to concentrate on my Buffalo nickels

    Its not...its just the first year of issue for the series and its just the way I like to collect. I've done all of the series that I wanted to do and I just felt the urge to do something different

    Nice coin.

    I put a set together about 15-20 (?) years ago of ALL 1909 cents (Lincolns and Indians), all PCGS, all MS66RD or better except the '09-S Indian which was MS65RD. Choice examples for eye appeal. Very pricey. Took me several years. Wanted them all for the 100th anniverary of the Lincoln cent in 2009. Showed them to a lot of kids that year at my daughter's school to try to promote coin collecting. Sold the set several years ago for a nice profit. But at times . . . I wish I kept them. Maybe I'll start all over again someday.
