I would like your opinion on the grade of this cent. Picked this up from the Melville show over the weekend. Thank you.
AU - 53. There's just a bit too much wear on the hair and feathers on the obverse for me to say 55, and the high points of the wreath also have a bit of wear.
shatsi: I was at the same show. Next time say hello. Oops, too bad we don't know each other, or do we? I usually get there at 8 A.M. and I'm gone by 11 o'clock. I picked up a couple of Barbers for my sets. And added another '13 S quarter to my collection, NGC G-6. Also, so extra quarters for my hoard. Good show this time.
Would have been nice to meet u, maybe next time. Thanks everyone for your opinion. I was replacing an AU58 BN with this coin and this one has more details than the AU58.
shatsi, I have no experience at grading so I have little if any credibility when giving you any opinions on grade. Just looking at the pictures though I thought there was very-very little wear and the coin is beautiful! I would be surprised to see it grade less than MS. Pictures never do the coin justice in my opinion and I think that you can add three to pretty much any grade that is not already on a curve. I think Ben summed it up the best (WOW) and gave you what I would have guessed. Thanks for sharing Darryl
Who would? It is a very nice indian.:thumb: What year is the jefferson? Sorry, I am just curious. Phoenix
Treashunt, I don't know the name of the dealer. Its a lady. I believe the ONLY lady dealer. She was to the left from the entrance. She was very nice. Now I regret not taking her name. Phoenix21, I bought a BU 1939 Jefferson.
