    Hey everyone,
1907 V 5c with alot of history by wear over a century old. But date shows a different type of anomaly and wondering what may have caused it. Circulation, washer or even dryer if it had been in circulation long enough. Not sure if die chips may have attributed and have no idea about being machine altered if such a thing. Thanks for any help.

Def. Not Washer /Dryer that's silly for the era. The date ? I don't see anything but wear if that makes sense.

Thanks sensible, the only reason I asked was due to the die lines in area around date show a pattern that seems uniform to me anyway but probably wrong. And numbers in date especially the 7 appear to have edge's machine altered. Again I'm probably wrong......again...lol
