The pennies look damaged to me. Not sure about the dime. My guess is some type of environmental damage but someone more knowledgeable about errors will have to confirm.
all are damaged. for example: the Lincoln cent was probably run over in a driveway at a 7-11. The Indian cent was damaged, and the same for the rest
Is the Indian cent clipped planchet, the Dime I can got from the bank and I probably did pick that Lincoln cent up in the middle of a busy parking lot, always holding someone up...lol could the Dime be missing clad layer?
The IHC is just shredded. Not a clipped planchet. Also the dime is just environmental damage. Not missing a clad layer.
The Indian head cent, despite its damage, has a nice history. They were designed by James B Longacre in 1860 and minted until 1909! These, in mint state, are honestly one of my favorite coins! A great resource for coins is the Redbook, formally known as "A Guide Book of United States Coins" If you have a smart phone, apps made by PCGS will help a lot, especially photo grade. I hope that this helps
Thanks, I've searched everywhere and find nothing on the Indian Head..took me 2 years to finally get the nerve to reach out
its no problem I am more than happy to help. =) if you have any other questions please feel free to PM me, or post another thread, or pm me on my facebook page.
