1906 Liberty Nickel Variety?

    Sadly this is a dug coin with damage but looking for opinions as to wether or not there is a closed 9 variety for this year? img291.jpg

    It looks like closed nine to me, can't find much on the variety though.

    Tommy it's 1908 an #45.5 four digits repunched 1 punched south corrected No; 9 punched If, corrected rt; 0 punched No, corrected So, and 8 punched So, and corrected No. Yes it's RPD rarity new.

    That is good news, sorry about the erroneous (1906) title. Sad news for me is this is a dug coin with two bad scratches. Thanks so much for the hard work. You know I appreciate it for sure.

    Anytime Tommy I pick this book up a few months back. It's out of print and both hard to find as well as costly.
    You coin is pictured in the back of the guide. You may try soaking it in distilled H2o and then virgin olive oil.
    You'll see the re punches clearer.

    I will do that. I just started a diet so just bought some virgin olive oil to cook with. LOL.
