Hi, Want to know if NTC grading is a good standard or is PCGS better for US coins ? Do NTC over grade than what the coin grade is ? What grade does this look ? I've seen only 1 DMPL MS 67 https://www.ngccoin.com/coin-explorer/morgan-dollars-1878-1921-pscid-49/1904-o-1-ms-coinid-17292 https://www.pcgs.com/prices/priceguidedetail.aspx?c=744&title=morgan+dollar# http://www.pcgscoinfacts.com/Coin/Detail/97293 Does this coin look like DMPL MS 67 ? Should I crack and get it graded at PCGS or NGC ? Thanks Tx Panda
NGC has only certified 1 67DMPL. You can see how rare it is. NTC is not a top tier grading company. I don't think this coin is either a 67 or DMPL. Better pictures would help.
Thanks to those who replied - Thats what I thought PCGS has only 1 graded as 67, attached are pics - hope they are clear.
Although the photos are less than ideal, nothing thus far suggests this a wise candidate for resubmission (or should I say submission) imo.
ok so will just keep this or list this on ebay ? as DMPL MS67 - as what the coin says but don't want to deceive anyone
You cannot list that coin on eBay as anything but raw. The slab has to be NGC, PCGS, ANACS, or ICG to be listed on eBay as a graded coin.
NTC is a basement slabbing bogus grading service. Most likely polished or overdipped, not a true DMPL.
