If it's not MS(might be), then I'd say it's a solid AU-58. Nice pick up. PCGS price guide puts Au58 at $50 and MS63 BN at $72.00. Keep in mind these prices are for those in PCGS slabs and even then would be high retail range.

The buildup around and in the devices. I neither agree nor disagree with the assessment of a cleaning. I will wait for other experts to chime in with their opinions.

There is an over all weakness of the devices. On circulation wear only the high spots would be affected. This one is weak over all the devices like it was dipped in a cleaner.

High AU, I don't see any evidence of cleaning. If it was, they didn't really clean much. Since I am saying it is AU, I figure it was in someones pocket or change purse. One might assume the high points would wear first, but this doesn't seem to happen often. On a flat surface, yes it would, but fabric or even leather is flexible enough to rub the flat fields more than the high points. A cleaning would have really emphasized this difference with the fields being much lighter than the high points ( more than here). IMO.

    I'm at AU 55 or 58.
Nothing I see makes me feel the coin has been cleaned.
