1903 Hong Kong Five Cent

    Hello all. Im not a collector but I've tins of coins from all over the world.
    Im trying to find out abut this coin with a odd stamp over the kings head. Any ideas would be interesting

    Does the name EDWARD VII sound like a HONG KONG king & emperor????

    Yep - ya just beat me to it!!!

    They also had the Exact Same Obverse for a Canadian coin.

    The counterstamp does not look Chinese more like a Burmese or Indian symbol

    As requested a picture of the front face. It just caught my eye as I know sometimes coins can be overstamped, but I couldnt work out what it is. DSC_1332.JPG

    My thinking was it looks like a fish symbol, but what do I know, I'm only a humble carpenter
