19 4 penny either 1914 with the wrong back design or most likely a misprint 1974 penny?

    This. I think it was probably done deliberately, not to deceive anyone (since obviously it has the wrong reverse), but just to make a fun "hole filler" for that tough 1914-D slot in somebody's album. Maybe as a joke.

    Usually you see this done with 1944-D coins. Those were done to be deceptive, and since they had the Wheat reverse, they fool some people, but after you alter a 1944-D the spacing in the date numerals is all wrong and the coin has VDB initials under the shoulder, which the 1914 coins did not.

    That's the first time I've seen an altered 1974-D. Somebody just did it for kicks, I reckon.
