1897 Norway 2 Ore grade/double die?

    Here's a 2 Ore from Norway I recently acquired. I was wondering about the doubling on the letters and the date as well as thoughts on grade. It's not particularly valuable but I love the design.

    I agree with Paddy MD. And as far as the grade I don't know what a fully struck MS coin is supposed to look like. on appearance it looks AUish.

    I'd say it's a rather nice looking EF. The MD is pretty commonly seen on Norwegian coins from 1870's and up.

    I agree on the machine doubling. I'd put the grade at a low AU (50ish). Not too much wear but some on the Lions hip and hand. Leaves look great though.
