I realize I'm late in responding, since the CL post is gone, but why not meet the guy at a bank? Your local bank will be okay with you transacting business if you buy the coin, rent a box and toss the coin in the box.

Because the crook doesn't want to. He doesn't want to meet at a coin shop. I'd be surprised if he wanted to meet anywhere that's within 50 miles of a cop.

hes in a rush/ pressure to sell since its cost him around $250 for his fake. Seeing how hes a their or counterfeiter or whatever you want to call him, he probably has little to no bankroll and this $250 investment is probably half of all the money he has if not more...
