Looking through the set of Morgans...this is an 1894. There appears to be some yellow discolorization on the face. I'd be interested in any thoughts on grade/value. Thank you in advance,

    James

1894 S (Look on the reverse below the wreath for the mint mark. If there isn't one, then its Philadelphia. The mints are Philadelphia, Denver, San Francisco, Carson City, and West Point)

Only 1,260,000 minted so it is worth much more than a common date Morgan. Your's would probably be worth about $100 if it wasn't cleaned.... I'm not too sure how cleaning hurts the value but I think its around 50%

    (Looks cleaned to me.)

The pictured coin was minted in San Francisco (S). The other possible mints
would be Philadelphia, no mint mark and New Orleans with (O) for a mint mark.
The mint marks would be located below the wreath on the reverse if any.
Denver was not a mint at the time, neither was West Point. The coin has been
cleaned at some point in time. The dis-coloration on the Liberty portrait is
most likely PVC contamination. It can be removed with PURE acetone. Once
this has been done, rinse thoroughly with DISTILLED water.
