bought this coin about a year ago in ms61pl condition,with a ngc rating...ngc will not value this coin. any one know why they dont value some PL coins,and if there is a source i can refer to...thanks Steve
I've never seen a price guide specify PL for $10 Libs. Your coin might bring a premium if the surfaces are truly reflective but start with the MS61 price and go from there.
I haven't seen a price guide for $10 Lib PLs either. As always, hitting the Heritage archives can help. The most recent sale of your exact coin was 9/26/2010 for $1092.50 . There are many other similar coins (different dates, but similar values in other grades) which sold for remarkably similar numbers. I was a little surprised the prices were as consistent as they are; normally, there is more "scatter" in the numbers.
