Nice Hawaiian $1/4 coin.I have got one that is both worn & has some damage on the rim.I paid around NZ$50 for it a few years ago.

Two things...I think the halves were sold atthe expo, then the rest (which was many) were dumped into circulation (hence many circulated examples).

As for tjhe Hawaiian, what grade is it? Looks pretty nice. When I was young and stupid I bought a dime and a matching quarter (F/VF) in nice circulated condition - was one of the smartest thigs I did. I can't imagine I paid over 10 or 12$ for either one. I have always wanted to finish the set (at least the '83 coins). I will start thinking about that. I think I will search for a half and a dollar that match my others in grade and eye appeal.

I'm not that good at grading, but comparing it to other graded examples I've seen it's probably MS-63+. I can find no traces of wear anywhere.

Looks like it is in a 2x2 - get that baby slabbed. Unless it has been messed with, it looks real good.
