    That's impossible! @buddy16cat is an expert on V nickels in circulation, and according to him, IT DOES NOT HAPPEN.

    That is interesting story and kind of what I would expect to find in circulation, common and low grade. Still it was foud in change. I have actually paid as little as 25 cents a piece for V nickels that contained some better dates, nothing above VG though. I often get 1883 no cents VF+ for a low price but that is it. There seems to have no jump in value in that year. I actually sold quite a few v nickels and collect them myself, i have all but the keys.
