Nice Morgan, do you have a question in particular about this coin?

 

Trying to figure out what which reverse it is and if there are any errors with it.

 

Morgan's are identified by there VAM.

 

There? THERE?!?! I am the grammar police, and you are now under grammar arrest! I love Morgans, but VAMs are not my area of knowledge, if I have any.

It can be difficult to attribute a VAM on such a worn coin. I would try to see if it's one of the obvious varieties, if not then I wouldn't try too hard to attribute it.

 

k thank you I didn't know about needing be in better shape when I acquired it, I'll know better hopefully next time

 

Also, with over 50 VAM varieties for this date alone, VAM World 2.0 appears to be more comprehensive than the VAM Encyclopedia by Mssrs. Van Allen and Mallis. Not their fault, just a difference in medium, it's a lot easier to update web-based data than printed matter. Personally, I prefer the printed until I need to resort to the web for researching VAMs...Spark
