I will have to look at all the varietys but the exact position of all the clashes say a big part in the attribution. I can't see anything other than looking at a different Die State. Paddy is making this pretty evident as I see it. It's a pretty neat Cent! Cool find @Kaye
Miss Kaye...... This is an exciting find. sure hope you will update us with your progress as you move forward with authentication and such. And just a friendly word here.... I wouldn't jump at the first purchase offer that comes your way. Take your time with this. And best of luck. Please keep us posted.
I think I managed some better photos this time! You can clearly see the profile of the Indian and tips of the feathers on the reverse. On the obverse you can see some of the wreath poking out of the feathers. I also discovered it has quite a nice patina! I would like to take the next steps to authenticate, but find the PCGS form very confusing. Any recommendations? Thanks so much for all your encouragement!
Kaye.... If it were me and I hadn’t done any prior submissions, I would find a local trusted dealer and pay him a small fee to submit the piece for me.
A much trusted member here that trades in very nice coins. The coin in my avatar came from him. He is a first class fellow that frequently is submitting coins for authentication. I was looking at his website the other day and seems it said he was away for a few days.... I been looking forward to him commenting on your coin.
Kaye what great find and what luck and you will be able to buy a truck load of Depends, if you sell that beauty! Smiles!
So, I can send it in for you for certification, but I'm not sure PCGS will notate the variety on the holder. Not sure what you want to do with it exactly.
I would like to work with you to get this cent looked at and graded. I really would like to know if it is something special. Please message me with details to do this. Thank you so much!
Wow I love to hear good news. I would not sell it for a year until the smoke clears. I am very happy for you.
I don't believe they do ....but it can be sent to Rick Snow. https://www.indiancent.com/about-us-eerc/
