He thinks he got the bargain of his life, or he's jerking our chain. There are not that many 1889CCs floating around outside of a slab--people know what they have. Like he really bought one of the ultimate keys to the series as a newbie and it is not in plastic? The entire story smells to me--either it is total nonsense, or the coin is fake, and I am beginning to believe that both are the case. If the OP does own the coin, he owns a nice $20 Chinese 1889CC.
