New pictures of this variety I picked off ebay. I don't have many coins with varieties on both sides, so this one is interesting! It's a dark brown, so capturing details is a little tricky. This was shot with a lighting technique to resolve the MPDs--but it also picks out all the dings and scratches on any circulated coin. I think that's "84" in the denticles. As for the little nub (white arrow), I can only guess it's a die chip, as no MPD in the bust is documented for this coin. Here's the "star in shield". I have included an inset of the area in MS for comparison. Obviously, this variety is much better in higher grades. More pics in MS here.
