You can also see that there appear to be identical diagonal marks in the same position in relation to the "8" & "O" on, both, the obverse and reverse rims. This may also suggest that it was in some kind of mount. Are these scans or photos? I ask because there appears to be no luster at all which suggests that it has been cleaned.
