LOL - mine are not good enough to be in such fine company as your coin. I have been watching some of the other dates for proof coins in shield nickels. I might just have to get a couple more. I only need the 1878 and 1877(like I will ever have those dates) for a date set(from F to PR65 what a range of grades). Not too consistent on my part, but I do like the shield nickels.
well if you do come across anice exampleof one with rays do let me know. i cant figure out whether my nickel colelction is better than my dime colelction as yet
VERY nice obverse. Nice contrast. Almost a cameo. The reverse has enough marks that I would have thought it would grade PF-65 tops. Shows you what I know. That is a coin that I would be proud to own. I am in the market for a very nice proof Shield Nickel. Grey Sheet on a '83 Shield PF-65 is $650. I am curious if you bought yours from a dealer and about what you had to pay for it. Congrats.
most of the marks on the reverse ar eon the holder not the coin think of those mars aand then get rid of 80% of those and thats what the reverse look slike what even better is there si no toning a balst white coin
OK. Then I would agree with the PF-66 grade. You should consider having the coin re-slabbed. For a small fee PCGS will put the coin in a new slab with the same grading info.
nah its ok i already ahve got 200 coins slabbed by pcgs this year i will let it be. i dont want them touching my coin
