[QUOTE="gmarguli, post: 143797, member: 246"]I've been lucky to handle a couple dozen toned proof Indians over the past few years. Almost all of them I submitted to NGC and most graded PF65-PF67. There is no way the coin pictured would upgrade to PF66 at NGC. While NGC is a tiny bit looser on toned Indians (i.e. they take into account the eye appeal a little more than PCGS), the spots on the reverse would keep it out of a PF66 slab almost certainly. In fact, it's probably lucky to be in a PF65 slab.

Now, not to pee in your corn flakes, but... Personally, I don't care for the coin. The spots are major distractions and the color, while nice, can be found a lot better and fuller. I'd rather have a coin that was toned more than this. Just my personal preference...

The prices for them have really gone up over the past year. However, the strong buyers of these look for a combination of color and quality. This coin lacks both. The color is not going to be as electric in person and the reverse spots are a killer. The reverse also lacks a lot of color. BTW, this is one of the more common date Indians that are found with color.

As for your bid, my guess is this coin should sell in the low $525 area, but you never know with eBay.
