A friend of mine was wanting some sort of advice on this inherited coin. I told her I would get the opinion of cointalk members before I responded. It is pretty scratched up. What grade would you give this one?
Grade: AU Details - Damaged Value: Whatever some fool is willing to pay, but melt value sounds right. Chris
I knew it looked pretty scratched. I just wanted agreement that even though this is an old coin...it's only worth the silver in it. Not sure. It was in an old flip that had the plastic torn on it. After I took pics...I put it in a new flip. Thanks all for the responses. I'll let her know to either keep it for sentimental value or turn it in for the money it's worth in silver.
