1882-O Morgan Dollar GTVAM

Bought a Morgan for the first time ever at a local show today. $40. Can you guess the VAM? This one shouldn’t be too hard.

Is it 38A ?

 

I figured it out after about 3 minutes roughly
I still havent cherried any of those K12 coins.
That's pretty damn good for a first Morgan

Probably 38B, as I see the crack left of the first right star, too.

 

It is 38B. The dealer noted a “die crack” but didn’t know that it was a Kimpton 12 VAM. Excited to start my VAM collection with an AU/UNC K12 coin, but this might just be one of the worst strikes I’ve ever seen on a Morgan dollar (38B in general has this problem).

 

I missed the radial die crack the first look which is why I said I had the later die state initially..Welcome to the exciting world of VAMming!
