1881 O Morgans Need help with grade.

    See if these pics are better. Do you see the die crack along the top of the lettering on the obverse? Could this be a VAM?

    Xf-45 to AU 50. A fair amount of rub here and there.

    I see a crooked line in that area, but it's hard to tell if it's raised or incused.

    XF-AU at best. Lost of wear, and contact marks both sides.

    1881-O VAM-6. Tilted mint mark. There's about 50 for this coin. Closer shots might help

    All Morgan and Peace dollars are VAM's. Usually, VAM-1 is reserved for a normal strike. Die cracks are very common on Morgan dollars since 130-150 tons of pressure is used for the strike. Unless they are extremely radical as is the case for the 1888-O "Scarface" most die cracks are helpful in determining die state, but that's about it.
