Well this was probably our most active month yet on the 1881-O web site and there is something there for most VAMers or just Morgan Dollar enthuisiasts. http://www.1881o.com 1. We added 65 new coins to our inventory bringing our total to 819, with about 7,800 images 2. We found a VAM 1J – Overpolished Reverse 3. Added 8 new toned coins to the collection, including 2 we think approach monster toned 4. Added new features to the VAM 1D – Flaky Eye analysis 5. Added 3 additional grades to the VAM 5 – O/O Right, Doubled 1 6. We created a new page for the Bearded Eagle varieties 7. We worked with PCGS on a ten year analysis of pricing for the series and added a new page to document the changes going forward 8. Documented a methodology for identifying the 3 dies for VAM 28 – Doubled Profile 9. Finished the analysis of 5 obverse dies and added that documentation to the appropriate pages 10. Documented 1 master die feature for all reverse dies, and potentially have a second 11. Reviewed two books There is a little something there for every Morgan collector, and hopefully a contribution to our knowledge of VAMs and Dies. Now I am headed for a little R&R before starting all over again in August!
