I am pretty sure I made a good purchase on this one.
If you could give your thoughts on the grade and possible VAM that would be great. I understand that it is hard to judge PL and DMPL from photos. It seems that quality of strike vary from year to year. I am learning as much as I can from Ya'll. This Morgan has a rosy hue , caught my eye. Looks like a solid technical 64 and very likely at least pl as those are some super fresh dies. And vamming an 80s aint easy. It usually boils down to date and mm doubling. Could have been dipped and not rinsed thourouly in the past though

Yeah, I have spent about an hour and a half trying to Vam this one.
Just about everything matches to vam12 die 1.
Except if there is a die chip in the 0 then it is very early, if at all there.
The 1 has some doubling but not as pronounced as Vam world.
the date position I believe is also correct.

A good think to keep in mind is all date position are the same in all years and mints up to 1883

Yep, without smoking gun pick ups '80-S is one of the date/mm's that need to be attributed in hand under extreme magnification. And I agree with this.

I would agree on the MS-64 PL with a chance at DMPL depending on how strong those mirrors are in hand. They look very nice in the image.

I third the grade MS64 PL. That's based on the pictures.

MS 64 for sure. Possible proof like. Reverse certainly looks like it is PL.

It looks like a MS64 for sure, maybe PL ...nice detail over the ear but has lots of contact marks. That is the biggest problem with PL and DMPL dollars ...they over exaggerate contact marks. Indirect lighting is a must for these special dollars ...to show the cameo contrast. IMHO =)
