1879-O Morgan with something under the mintmark

    I'm not sure what's going on under this mintmark. It almost looks like a raised W (which seems odd for a clash from the recessed M that signified Morgan's initial). What is going on there?

    1879-O a1 09 something under the o.jpg 1879-O a1 10 something under the o.jpg 1879-O a1 01.jpg 1879-O a1 02.jpg 1879-O a1 03 under the jaw.jpg 1879-O a1 04 dot by B.jpg 1879-O a1 05 doubled N in UNUM.jpg 1879-O a1 06.jpg 1879-O a1 07 doubled WE.jpg 1879-O a1 08 dot after E in ONE.jpg

    Probably just these old eyes, but I don't see anything unusual about this coin. Maybe others do?

    Gunk on the coin. Strange as it may seem, there aren't any RPMs with the large O.

    The die chip preceeding the B in PLURIBUS & after the E in ONE seem pretty distinctive, but I haven't found a match yet.
