Wondering if I should get that 1879 CC that looks to be in good condition is there any problems at this point that you can see.

    It's 1k
    Is it worth outrageously more?

The arrow feathers don't look right to me. Overall, it looks too good to be true. What say you @Morgandude11 ? @messydesk ?

Yeah really nice looking. I have 3 days to return it if it isn't real maybe i should get this instead of a cc privy mark today. Idk though it looks too good to be true

Fake. Looks like cast and plated. A mark less 1879s Morgan? No such animal, outside of China.

The piece looks like it has the wrong reverse to me. Here's photo from the "Coin Facts" site. Check out the eagle's breast feathers.

You coin looks it has the 1878 reverse.

I would send it back for a refund immediately. If that piece were real, it would sell for $10 grand or more.

Fake with wrong reverse. It is worth nothing.

Parallel arrow feather is reverse of 78. While there is a 80/79 CC with a reverse of 78 listed, apparently there is no 79 CC with a reverse of78.

You gotta wonder why it isn't slabbed.

When you crop the photos, it's looks like this. The artwork is "close but no cigar."

Looks like the date was altered on a 78-CC...what a waste!

Your coin, when enlarged, does not match any known genuine varieties on VamWorld. I suspect it is fake or altered. Return it before you lose your money. Study your coin and study VAM varieties.

The 9 is a direct giveaway. Very sophisticated looking fake. The Crimeese are getting better every year. Sorry, but yes, you need to send it back. Good luck

The nine is not correct among other issues with the coin. Fake!

That's the first thing that jumped out at me, that cockeyed nine!

Only small CC was used in 1878. Not an alteration, just a fake.

That rev. doesn't even match the rev. of 78. Looks more like the rev. of 21. Total fake.
