Well if were going to go to fantasyland here and not actually look at the photo I would say it looks like a kite with a long squiggly tail or a stingray. But actually looking at the photo I see somewhat of a circle with something that looks like the surrounding metal even with the design element in it, now a foreign piece of material in that circle to get the same color as the outside and that same design elements does not seem likely to me. Not trying to be hardheaded about this, but error identification is an essential part of any error coin collector, I may miss a large part of the terminology which I'm sure other members will definitely agree with including yourself, and my eyesight may be diminishing in my old age but I'm almost right on my visual identifications. I will not say which member indicated that he does not always agree with one expert I found that I did not agree with this person on his findings of one coin submitted to him, and since I was sending another coin to him for his personal examination I requested that i send the coin in question for his re-examination, after examination evidently he was seeing what I was seeing and reclassified that coin. And evidently this 1878cc is one of those coins it's hard to believe it even I had a hard time when I first looked at it. Which started me on a quest over 14 years ago when i acquired this coin. messy Will be the first official person to examine this coin besides myself. And I'm sure his stereo microscope is a lot better than my stereo microscope but I have no doubt he will see exactly what I'm seeing, I should know something in the next couple of days the middle of the week. \V/
