Latest pickup from a coin show in Stuttgart. I’m probably going to have to ban myself from purchasing Morgans after this one, due to the cost. The 7 is visible but the last 8 is not, which means they used to the VAM to determine the year. Enjoy! @furryfrog02 @JCro57 @paddyman98 @Paddy54 @messydesk @Rick Stachowski
Honestly, when it comes to US coins, anything BUT morgans lol. I just do not like the design at all. I know that it is an unpopular opinion but I stand by it.
Thank you everyone for the positive feedback; I’m feeling a little better about the large pricetag on it.
Some collectors think VAMs are tedious and not worth the time. Here is an example of a VAM confirming a coin's date. I also like VAMs because when I buy a Morgan VAM, I have greater confidence that the coin is authentic.
Nice Mint Error! Thanks for sharing.. The only Morgan Dollars I have in my entire collection are these 2 Minor Clipped Errors.. You can't see them very well because prongs that hold the coins are covering the exact area they are located
How is a new collector like me supposed to have ANY faith in TPG's when they do ridiculous things like this!!?? What were they doing that day, playing hide the error?
He had some delamination ones across liberty’s face and also some delamination peace dollars, one with metal sticking up on liberty’s neck. If you want more details, feel free to PM me.
A very great point about coin authenticity. I need to learn my VAMs. I have the top 100 booklet. One day I’ll sit down and VAM what I own.
Small hand books as such are great...I carry one on MPD's. Walking the show floor it comes in handy more times then not.
