Part of a late family member's old collection. All of the notes on the flip made me very curious. This is not a series I have any familiarity with. Anyone see anything to confirm or deny the graffiti on the flip? Thanks to all... This is the coin considered FS-101:

Note the absolutely plain doubling (it's actually a Triple) of especially the upper obverse features; there's even an extra horizontal stripe in the shield from it. The die cracks are very different, as well.

FS-101, with a different plate coin, at PCGS CoinFacts:

I'd have to feel that your coin is misattributed.

Thanks Super, I agree that fs-101 is incorrect. In fact, I'm not sure I see any doubling at all on the coin. Some cool die cracks ,which I understand are quite common on these, is all I'm seeing. Thanks again....

Still, a reg. 1876 in AU condition is very valuable.
I don't see the "double date" on yours, but it's a GREAT coin anyway.
It may be better than AU. A very old grade which may have been proper at the time, may be under graded now.

As others have stated, not FS-101 and no evidence for a double date. Additionally, the designation "FS-101" is a fairly recent nomenclature from CPG (few years at most), so the claim that this is from an old collection is questionable.

Curious fact about FS-101: most of the examples seen are high grade with a lot of MS coins.
